The Pohutukawa Coast Crime Watch Patrol has awarded long-serving volunteer Stan Boswell (above right) with a Life Member certificate for his services to Crime Patrol.
Stan, who said he was “shocked and proud” to receive the award, has served with the patrol continuously for more than 15 years.
He has been instrumental in growing the volunteer force from about six members when he first joined, to the strong 80 volunteer team it is today with two crime patrol vehicles.
Crime Watch Patrol chairman Wayne Gemell says:
“Stan has been instrumental in getting the patrol to where it is today from small beginnings to a successful organisation that now covers Beachlands, Maraetai and Whitford.”
Stan was presented with his award by Wayne (above left) at the patrol’s annual Christmas lunch.
