The Mangere Bridge Community patrol carrying out safety checks at the all tide boat ramp at Mangere Bridge.  There  have been a number of drownings and incidents involving boaties not wearing life jackets using this public  ramp.   The ramp is subjected to a fast tidal flow which can create a hazardous situation for inexperienced boaties so patrolers are on hand to advise users of the hazards.
